Hoffer Photography is one website we visit almost every day. They are undoubtedly one of the best wedding photographers in the world. We might not be exaggerating if we say we go through their pictures like a ‘textbook’. There is always something new to learn every time we see their work. We have been following their work since we were back in India and always had a dream to learn from the person who inspired us. The dream came true when we heard of their upcoming workshop called Hoffshop. Registration for the workshop almost felt like a Black Friday sale, we literally had the details ready so we don’t miss the chance to attend the workshop, which got full within no time.

This workshop had everything for all, the beginners in the wedding industry to experienced wedding photographers. Tony and Amy’s thought process of why and how to click a picture at a particular place was truly mind-blowing. The best part was to see Tony and Amy shoot as a team, where in they complemented and coordinated really well. As a couple, we learned many minute details which we had overlooked.

These 3 days were truly incredible. The limelight of the workshop was the session on the first day when their past clients looked at our work and put across their suggestions regarding the overall work. The photo critique session was an absolute eye-opener. We got to know what could we do better in terms of composition and lighting. The assignments on the subsequent days challenged us to push our own boundaries by thinking out of the box and trying not to do the things we always did. Tony and Amy helped us identify our strengths and pushed us out of our comfort zones to reach the next level. We know creating something new feels tough, frustrating, scary, and overwhelming, but with Tony & Amy around during our assignments, it surely helped bring out envision composition to life. We would surely recommend it to all those who want to achieve a new level of skills in their work.

Here are a few of our favorites from the assignments – 5 Shots in 1 Spot, F8 challenge, No Standing, Recreate & Crap Shoot.

We cannot thank enough Tony, Amy, and Lindsay for those amazing 3 days of our lives with maximum fun & learning along with tons of calories in the form of chocolates, pizza, and cheesecakes. It was truly a ‘hoffsome’ experience.
