THE #RONEESHA WEDDING
WELCOME
Ronak and Aneesha‘s multi-day destination wedding at Dusit Thani Hua Hin Thailand was an extravagant affair. The guests were welcomed at the resort by the family in a very royal fashion. There was an elephant who showed them some tricks when they arrived.
THEMED COCKTAIL DINNER
The themed cocktail dinner – ‘Once upon a time in Siam‘ had a lot of local performers who took on the stage and entertained the guests. There were some performances on stage that totally blew away our minds. Not to forget, the decor & the stage were beautifully done – we were just in awe of what we saw!
POOL PARTY
The next day schedule included the pool party and the mehndi ceremony for the guests. The pool party is one of the events which the guests look forward to most. There was also a small puja for the bride – which was the Chunri ceremony. This officially marks the welcoming of the bride into her new family.
The pool party was set up beautifully with decorated beach chairs along with colorful water guns. Needless to say, the bar was not too far for the guests to enjoy the booze while splashing the water in the pool.
BOLLYWOOD SANGEET NIGHT
The evening was beautifully set up for the sangeet ceremony. There was a great music band to entertain guests with contemporary Bollywood songs and music. The bride and the groom made a dramatic entry into the ballroom with a violinist playing soothing music and accompanying them into the room. The bride and the groom along with family and friends performed the latest B-town hits & kept the guests entertained throughout the evening.
HALDI CEREMONY & GAME DAY
The next day came by and an intimate Haldi ceremony was held just for the bride. The ladies also performed the ‘Ghari ceremony’ post the haldi. After the ceremonies were completed, it was time for some outdoor games, which included football & cricket along with some ‘not-so-spicy’ spiral potatoes as appetizers.
GETTING READY
We started the big day by shooting the bridal trousseau and her getting ready. The beautiful bridal lehenga in red shimmered with gold and looked so royal. Don’t miss the shoes and the rings we shot along with the dress. Once everyone got ready, we went out to get some shots with the bride along with her bridesmaids.
BAARAT & CEREMONY
Just before covering the baarat, we got the beautifully decorated mandap with fresh flowers matching the red and the gold theme for the #RONEESHA wedding just as it was getting set up. The guests danced to the tune of dhols and shehnais in the baarat. It was time to now welcome the groom!
The bride was escorted by her maternal uncles for the jai mala. Once the jai mala would be done, the bride would go back until a small ceremony is done by the bride’s parents with the groom.
The groom’s view is hidden with the antarpat while the bride arrives at the mandap. The flower girls came first & the bride was escorted by her dad to the mandap behind them. The ceremony took place amidst the holy fire and they had pheras after which they were officially declared as husband and wife.
RECEPTION & PARTY
The enormous ‘eight-tiered’ cake for the wedding reception post the pheras. They had to cut the cake with a sword instead of a knife!
The DJ rocked the dance floor and had the people entertained to the fullest!
And finally, a DOUBLE EXPOSURE for the couple as we sign off. Special thanks to Team #KIF for this wedding!
