” This is 80% of gear we carry to each & every wedding!”
Yes, we do carry a lot of stuff around with us. For the photographers & curious clients who want to get into technical stuff, here’s an in-depth explanation of why we carry what we carry in our camera bag and what advantage it renders while we do our job.
Camera Bodies
Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 6D x 2, Canon 5D Mark II – These 4 full-frame camera bodies are our workhorses. We carry them to each and every shoot we undertake as we both shoot with 2 bodies each. In case, if one of the camera bodies breaks down for any reason (which hasn’t happened since we started shooting weddings), we still have a lot of back-ups.
Lenses
Canon 15mm f/2.8 lens – This lens gives us a different perspective while shooting baraat photos or detail shots of a bigger scale.

Sigma ART 35mm f/1.4 lens – This lens is one of the best lenses Sigma has to offer currently in the market. This is our go-to lens while shooting wide. The color rendition is impeccable & tops in distortion ranking among its competitors.

Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens – This lens gives us the natural field of view. Not too wide, not too close!

Canon 85mm f/1.2 lens – This lens is OUR favorite lens. Rich & creamy bokeh, always on our camera, this lens allows us to shoot in really low light situations. Our to-go lens for portraits, no matter what genre we shoot.

Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens – We pop out this lens from our arsenal when we have to really go close, especially for the ring shots. We like how this lens doubles up as a beautiful portrait lens when we are not shooting any macros at the wedding.

Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens – This multipurpose lens will allow you to shoot a different variety of pictures. We use this lens when we can’t afford to miss a moment and need the same shot using a variety of focal lengths.

Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens – We use this lens typically for shooting engagement sessions. We love the compressed look this lens has to offer at the highest focal length.

Lighting
Apart from the above lenses, we use the best flashes Canon has to offer in the market – Canon 600 EX-RT’s and an eTTL trigger – Canon STE-3. We got a bunch of Yongnou Flashes that are compatible with the 600’s for off-camera lighting. We use Magmods as the light modifiers and also have a variety of gels to accompany that. A maha charger is always needed when you need to charge the batteries for as many as 5 flashes!
Storage
We use a variety of CF & SD cards from Sandisk. Apart from that, we carry a couple of Seagate Hard drives to every wedding for maintaining a dual backup. We use a Lexar memory card reader, which has been the most popular amongst the wedding industry pros.
We hope you’ve enjoyed going through our camera bag. Please write to us with any questions!
